HE'ALED, pp. Restored to a sound state.

Then Abraham prayed to God and God healed Abimelech, his wife and his maidservants, and they started having babies again. (Genesis 20:17)

But if he sees that the itch is unchanged and black hair has begun to grow in it, the itch is healed. The person is clean and the priest will pronounce him clean. (Leviticus 13:37)

He then went to the spring, sprinkled the salt into it, and proclaimed, "GOD's word: I've healed this water. It will no longer kill you or poison your land." (2 Kings 2:21)

And sure enough, the water was healed--and remains so to this day, just as Elisha said. (2 Kings 2:22)

Elisha sent out a servant to meet him with this message: "Go to the River Jordan and immerse yourself seven times. Your skin will be healed and you'll be as good as new." (2 Kings 5:10)

So he did it. He went down and immersed himself in the Jordan seven times, following the orders of the Holy Man. His skin was healed; it was like the skin of a little baby. He was as good as new. (2 Kings 5:14)

GOD responded to Hezekiah's prayer and healed the people. (2 Chronicles 30:20)

Before you know it, you're healed, the very picture of health! (Job 33:25)

He spoke the word that healed you, that pulled you back from the brink of death. (Psalms 107:20)

Isa 53:5 But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on Him; and with His stripes we ourselves are healed.

From there he went all over Galilee. He used synagogues for meeting places and taught people the truth of God. God's kingdom was his theme--that beginning right now they were under God's government, a good government! He also healed people of their diseases and of the bad effects of their bad lives. (Matthew 4:23)

Word got around the entire Roman province of Syria. People brought anybody with an ailment, whether mental, emotional, or physical. Jesus healed them, one and all. (Matthew 4:24)

Jesus said, "Don't talk about this all over town. Just quietly present your healed body to the priest, along with the appropriate expressions of thanks to God. Your cleansed and grateful life, not your words, will bear witness to what I have done." (Matthew 8:4)

Then Jesus made a circuit of all the towns and villages. He taught in their meeting places, reported kingdom news, and healed their diseased bodies, healed their bruised and hurt lives. (Matthew 9:35)

Then he said to the man, "Hold out your hand." He held it out and it was healed. (Matthew 12:13)

Jesus, knowing they were out to get him, moved on. A lot of people followed him, and he healed them all (Matthew 12:15)

Next a poor demon-afflicted wretch, both blind and deaf, was set down before him. Jesus healed him, gave him his sight and hearing. (Matthew 12:22)

When he saw them coming, he was overcome with pity and healed their sick. (Matthew 14:14)

who asked for permission to touch the edge of his coat. And whoever touched him was healed. (Matthew 14:36)

They came, tons of them, bringing along the paraplegic, the blind, the maimed, the mute--all sorts of people in need--and more or less threw them down at Jesus' feet to see what he would do with them. He healed them. (Matthew 15:30)

Great crowds followed him there, and he healed them. (Matthew 19:2)

Now there was room for the blind and crippled to get in. They came to Jesus and he healed them. (Matthew 21:14)

He had healed many people, and now everyone who had something wrong was pushing and shoving to get near and touch him. (Mark 3:10)

Jesus said to her, "Daughter, you took a risk of faith, and now you're healed and whole. Live well, live blessed! Be healed of your plague." (Mark 5:34)

Jesus wasn't able to do much of anything there--he laid hands on a few sick people and healed them, that's all. (Mark 6:5)

"On your way," said Jesus. "Your faith has saved and healed you." In that very instant he recovered his sight and followed Jesus down the road. (Mark 10:52)

When the sun went down, everyone who had anyone sick with some ailment or other brought them to him. One by one he placed his hands on them and healed them. (Luke 4:40)

Jesus instructed him, "Don't talk about this all over town. Just quietly present your healed self to the priest, along with the offering ordered by Moses. Your cleansed and obedient life, not your words, will bear witness to what I have done." (Luke 5:14)

But the man couldn't keep it to himself, and the word got out. Soon a large crowd of people had gathered to listen and be healed of their ailments. (Luke 5:15)

They had come both to hear him and to be cured of their ailments. Those disturbed by evil spirits were healed. (Luke 6:18)

Everyone was trying to touch him--so much energy surging from him, so many people healed! (Luke 6:19)

In the next two or three hours Jesus healed many from diseases, distress, and evil spirits. To many of the blind he gave the gift of sight. (Luke 7:21)

There were also some women in their company who had been healed of various evil afflictions and illnesses: Mary, the one called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out; (Luke 8:2)

When the woman realized that she couldn't remain hidden, she knelt trembling before him. In front of all the people, she blurted out her story--why she touched him and how at that same moment she was healed. (Luke 8:47)

Jesus said, "Daughter, you took a risk trusting me, and now you're healed and whole. Live well, live blessed!" (Luke 8:48)

But the crowds got wind of it and followed. Jesus graciously welcomed them and talked to them about the kingdom of God. Those who needed healing, he healed. (Luke 9:11)

While he was coming, the demon slammed him to the ground and threw him into convulsions. Jesus stepped in, ordered the vile spirit gone, healed the boy, and handed him back to his father. (Luke 9:42)

They were silent. So he took the man, healed him, and sent him on his way. (Luke 14:4)

One of them, when he realized that he was healed, turned around and came back, shouting his gratitude, glorifying God. (Luke 17:15)

Jesus said, "Were not ten healed? Where are the nine? (Luke 17:17)

Then he said to him, "Get up. On your way. Your faith has healed and saved you." (Luke 17:19)

The man was healed on the spot. He picked up his bedroll and walked off. That day happened to be the Sabbath. (John 5:9)

The Jews stopped the healed man and said, "It's the Sabbath. You can't carry your bedroll around. It's against the rules." (John 5:10)

But the healed man didn't know, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd. (John 5:13)

This day when Jesus made the paste and healed his blindness was the Sabbath. (John 9:14)

Faith in Jesus' name put this man, whose condition you know so well, on his feet--yes, faith and nothing but faith put this man healed and whole right before your eyes. (Acts 3:16)

but with the man right before them, seeing him standing there so upright--so healed!--what could they say against that? (Acts 4:14)

They came from the villages surrounding Jerusalem, throngs of them, bringing the sick and bedeviled. And they all were healed. (Acts 5:16)

Many who could neither stand nor walk were healed that day. The evil spirits protested loudly as they were sent on their way. (Acts 8:7)

The word got around and people started taking pieces of clothing--handkerchiefs and scarves and the like--that had touched Paul's skin and then touching the sick with them. The touch did it--they were healed and whole. (Acts 19:12)

Publius's father was sick at the time, down with a high fever and dysentery. Paul went to the old man's room, and when he laid hands on him and prayed, the man was healed. (Acts 28:8)

Word of the healing got around fast, and soon everyone on the island who was sick came and got healed. (Acts 28:9)

I'm using this freedom language because it's easy to picture. You can readily recall, can't you, how at one time the more you did just what you felt like doing--not caring about others, not caring about God--the worse your life became and the less freedom you had? And how much different is it now as you live in God's freedom, your lives healed and expansive in holiness? (Romans 6:19)

But now that you've found you don't have to listen to sin tell you what to do, and have discovered the delight of listening to God telling you, what a surprise! A whole, healed, put-together life right now, with more and more of life on the way! (Romans 6:22)

Believing-prayer will heal you, and Jesus will put you on your feet. And if you've sinned, you'll be forgiven--healed inside and out. (James 5:15)

Make this your common practice: Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you can live together whole and healed. The prayer of a person living right with God is something powerful to be reckoned with. (James 5:16)

God is keeping careful watch over us and the future. The Day is coming when you'll have it all--life healed and whole. (1 Peter 1:5)
